He has obtained the doctor’s degree in Huazhong Agricultural University majoring in crop inheritance and breeding. Between September 2000 and September 2002, he has engaged in post-doctoral research in the national key laboratory of inheritance project in Shanghai Fudan University; between August 2002 and December 2007, he worked as an associate professor; since 2008, he was hired as the researcher and doctor tutor of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Agriculture and Biology; between February 2009 and February 2010, he reached University of California, Berkeley and launched out academic research. Currently, he is the research member of The Crop Science Society of China, China Cotton Association and International Cotton Genome Initiative. In recent years, he is mainly dedicated to the molecular biological research of plant art and cotton fiber growth; exploration into the transfer conduct of plant response composite adversity (salt/drought/pH) signal; mechanism of fiber start and growth molecules. He has successively presided over the national “major genetically modified item”, “973”, “863”, “national fund of natural science” and “key breakthrough project of Shanghai Municipal Agricultural Commission”. He has successively released above 70 theses in the domestic/international mainstream periodicals such as JEB, BMC genomics and so on (above 30 SCI theses); participated in the edition of two textbooks/works such as Plant Biological Technology and obtained above 10 authorized patents. He has taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as “molecular biology”, “introduction of genetic engineering”, “professional English” and “superseding”. In 2014, he won the silver medal of China Flower Expo (scientific and technological type); in 2009 and 2005, he was honored the title of Shanghai “excellent young teacher” and “advanced individual in teaching and scientific research” granted by Shanghai Reward Foundation of Agricultural Education and Development; in 2006, he won 1st award of teaching achievement of Shanghai Jiaotong University (ranked 3rd).

 

Responsibility:

He has undertaken the following work contents: education and cultivation of undergraduate and postgraduate students (including diploma); setup and construction of professional courses; recruitment (bachelor, master and doctor at the school level).
