In 1984, he obtained the bachelor’s degree in the Plant and Environmental Protection Faculty of Henan Agricultural University; in 2000, he obtained the doctor’s degree in the Faculty of Plant Pathology of Nanjing Agricultural University; between 1984-2001, he worked as the assistant, teacher and associate professor in the Plant Pathology Faculty of Henan Agricultural University; between 2001-2007, he worked as the secretary, deputy director, associate professor, professor and doctor tutor in the Faculty of Plant Pathology of Nanjing Agricultural University; between 2003-2005, he worked as the senior post-doctoral visiting scholar of infectious disease research center of Durham University; between 2006-2010, he served as the member of 12^th International Plant Pathogeny Bacteriology Committee; from 2008 until now, he is the professor and doctor tutor of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Agriculture and Biology; between 2007-2009, he was the guest professor and Chinese scholar of plant pathology faculty of Cornell University; from 2010 until now, he is the chairman of 13^th international plant pathogeny bacteriology committee; from 2009 until now, he is 2^nd audit expert of national foundation of natural science. He is mainly dedicated to the research of molecular plant pathology, plant-pathogen mutual function genetic engineering, plant disease biological prevention and treatment and plant anti-disease genetic engineering. He has successively fulfilled above 20 projects, such as national 973 plan, national 863 plan, national natural science fund project and other provincial/ministerial scientific research projects; released above 70 theses in Molecular Microbiology, Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, PLoS ONE and Applied and Environmental Microbialogy; obtained two 2^nd awards and three 3^rd awards of provincial/ministerial scientific and technological progress and 6 national invention patents.

Responsibility:

He has undertaken the following work contents: scientific research (vertical); construction of key laboratory or project technical research center and innovative platform; coordinated management of construction of subjects and teachers.
