一、简介

      1.      “绿谷”讲席教授

      “绿谷”讲席教授要求候选人年龄一般不超过55岁，海外应聘者一般应担任一流大学教授职位或其他相应职位，国内应聘者应担任教授或其他相应职位（原则上获得过杰青、长江学者、973或重大研发计划首席、产业体系首席科学家或国家一级学会副会长以上头衔的优秀学者）；在学术前沿领域取得国际同行公认的高水平原创性研究成果，或在国家战略需求研究领域做出重大贡献，研究工作国际一流，在学界享有崇高的声誉。

      2.      “绿谷”特聘教授

       “绿谷”特聘教授要求候选人年龄一般不超过45岁，海外应聘者一般应担任高水平大学副教授及以上职位或其他相应职位，国内应聘者应担任教授或其他相应职位；具备带领本学科开展原创性研究和关键技术研究，在前沿领域赶超或保持国际先进水平的能力，取得了重要标志性成果，或在服务国家战略和经济社会发展中取得了重要成果，学术水平与长江学者特聘教授或国家自然科学基金委杰出青年基金获得者相当。

      3.      “绿谷”特别研究员

      “绿谷”特别研究员要求候选人年龄一般不超过40岁，具有世界一流大学博士学位和学术工作经历，具有良好的学术背景和学术潜力，或者获得“四青”资助计划，在学科前沿领域开展创新性研究，取得重要的研究成果，表现出很强的学术潜力，研究工作达到世界一流大学助理教授水平。

      4.      “绿谷”青年学者 

      “绿谷”青年学者要求候选人年龄一般不超过35岁，海外一流大学或科研机构博士，具有相关领域两年以上海外工作经历；或国内一流大学或科研机构博士，具有相关领域三年以上海外工作经历；具有良好的学术背景和学术潜力，相当于学院副教授的平均学术水平，具备申请“四青”的潜力。

 “GREEN VALLEY” TALENT RECRUITMENT PLAN SHANGHAI JIAO TONG UNIVERSITY

1.      Introduction

      As one of the top institutions for higher education in China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) enjoys a long history and a world-renowned reputation. It is a key university of direct subordination to Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE), jointly run by Shanghai Municipal Government. Through 120 years' unremitting efforts, SJTU has become a comprehensive, research-oriented, and internationalized elite university in China.

      Insisting on the strategic guiding ideology of "creating a world-class agricultural discipline" and the managerial guiding ideology of “agriculture-focused, demand-driven, character-grown, strive to be the best”, the School of Agriculture and Biology (SAB) has always adhered to its path of “race-to-top, down-to-earth, one-body two-wing” for development. It takes advantage of SJTU’s multidisciplinary strength and put great emphasis on integrative research involving engineering, science, medicine, and management. 2.      Work Environment at SAB

      SAB is located at 800 Dongchuan Road, Minhang District, Shanghai, China, facing East China Normal University on the east, Zizhu National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone on the south. It is surrounded by SJTU affiliated primary schools and high schools, as well as East China Normal University affiliated schools. It has convenient access to public transportation and other living facilities such as Shanghai Fifth People's Hospital and Metro Line 5. 

SAB covers an area of 44,000 square meters, which includes Agriculture and Biology Building, Experimental and Training Building, and a new Agricultural Innovation Building that is currently under construction and will be put into use in May, 2017.       1)      “Green Valley” Chair Professor

      “Green Valley” Chair Professors are usually expected to be less than 55 years old. Overseas applicants should serve as full professors or other equivalent positions in the world-class university. Domestic applicants should be full professors or hold equivalent academic titles (principally, the applicants should hold the title of Distinguished Young Scientist; Chang Jiang Scholar; Chief of National 973 Project or major research and development plan; Industrial System Chief Scientist or Vice-President of National Level Society and above). The applicant should have recognized high-level original academic achievements in the frontier academic field, or should make great contribution in national strategic needs research areas, with world class research capacity and high prestige in academia.

      2)      “Green Valley” Distinguished Professor

      “Green Valley” Distinguished Professors are usually expected to be less than 45 years old. Overseas applicants should serve as associate professors or other equivalent positions or above in high-level universities. Domestic applicants should be full professors or hold equivalent academic titles. They should have great potentials to lead original and key technology researches, catch up with or surpass advanced world levels in the frontier fields, make outstanding achievements in their discipline, or make significant achievements in national strategy services and economic society development. Their academic ability should be equivalent to Chang Jiang Distinguished Professor or Outstanding Young Scholars Fund Owner of National Natural Science Foundation.

      3)      “Green Valley” Tenure-track Assistant Professor

       “Green Valley” Tenure-track Assistant Professors are usually expected to be less than 40 years old. They should have doctoral degree and academic research experiences in overseas world-class universities, with good education background and  academic potential, or gain one of the Four Young Funding Program (Young Thousand Talents, National Natural Science Foundation--Outstanding Youth Foundation, National Youth Talent Support Program, Chang Jiang Scholar-Youth Program). They are expected to be able to carry out innovative research in frontier academic field and have important research achievements and high academic potential. Their research ability is expected to reach assistant professor’s level of word-class universities.

      4)      “Green Valley” Young Scholar

      “Green Valley” Young Scholars are usually expected to be less than 35 years old. They should have doctoral degree from overseas world-class universities or research institutions with more than 2 years’ overseas working experiences in related fields or domestic first class universities or institutions’ doctoral degree with 3 years’ overseas working experiences. They are expected to have good educational background and academic potential, reach associate professor’s average level, and have potential to receive “Four Young Funding Program” (Young Thousand Talents, National Natural Science Foundation--Outstanding Youth Foundation, National Youth Talent Support Program, Chang Jiang Scholar-Youth Program).
