Fudan-SJTU-Nottingham Plant Biotechnology R&D Center
The center was established on October 8th, 2001. The science and technology minister of Great Britain, Lord Sainsbury and former Shanghai Municipal vice mayor, JunQi Yan, attended the unveiling ceremony. The center is established and run with joint efforts from Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Nottingham University of Great Britain, and is the first international research institution in the field of plant biotechnology with a British university. Our main research interests include: Plant bio-reactor, plant secondary metabolism engineering, plant gene expression regulation and bioinformatics. Currently there are eleven researchers, including one Distinguished Professor of “Cheung Kong Scholar” (honored by the Ministry of Education, the People’s Republic of China).
