上海交通大学农业与生物学院蔡均猛老师与英国阿斯顿大学材料科学研究院张裕卿老师获得英国政府Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Networking Grant项目（项目名称：Pyrolysis of Municipal Organic Waste for Renewable Road Construction Materials）的资助，将进行一系列跨学科交流讨论与研究。该项目旨在加强中英双方多学科（固体有机废弃物处理与道路材料）的交流与合作，增强中国在固体有机废弃物资源化利用和可再生道路材料制造等跨学科的创新与科研能力。

        作为GCRF项目的第一项活动，将于2018年4月初举办GCRF中英跨学科生物沥青专家研讨会与青年学者培训交流会。

GCRF China-UK Cross Disciplinary Workshop on Bio-Bitumen

    Dr. Yuqing Zhang of Aston Institute of Materials Research at Aston University  (UK) and Dr. Junmeng Cai of School of Agriculture and Biology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University were awarded a UK Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Networking Grant with a project entitled “Pyrolysis of Municipal Organic Waste for Renewable Road Construction Materials”. The purpose of this networking grant is to facilitate cross-disciplinary partnerships between the UK and China in the research areas of developing sustainable road construction materials from organic solid waste.

    The project will be officially kicked off with a thematic workshop in Shanghai on 3^rd and 4^th, April 2018. A series of training sessions for early career researchers have been arranged on 5^th and 6^th, April 2018.
